5-mile wave workout

6:35, 6:59, 6:31, 7:02, 6:40

This is the first time I've tried a wave style workout. The goal was 6 miles alternating between 6:30 and 7:00. The fifth mile was a real struggle so I decided not to do a sixth mile. I've been worried a little about my progression, thinking I should have been able to handle 6 miles of this workout. Looking back at other workouts it's not a surprise. It's going to be tough beating 1:30 on a half right now. I guess it's good I won't be able to do the SOJO half on 10/17 (we're going on vacation now that weekend) and I'll have more time. Maybe I'll do the Saltair Half in November.

That's still pretty strong. Its tough getting the hang of the pace change workouts like that. They can be much harder than just running a steady pace or a progression.

Going anywhere good on vacation?

We still haven't decided on the vacation. Probably camping down south somewhere. Maybe around Zion. I looked into the yurts at Deadhorse Point but they were all booked. I'm definitely going to get there sometime.
